In industrial and automotive applications there is the need to monitor the temperature of fluid in the tank by means of an electrical signal that indicates a given situation (e.g. high temperature and alarms). These operations are controlled by components, called TEMPERATURE SENSORS, that are calibrated according to a specific application.
Temperature sensors come in three types:
- with NORMALLY OPEN (NO) (SPST) electrical contacts
- with NORMALLY CLOSED (NC) (SPST) electrical contacts
- with (SPDT) SWITCHING contacts
- with analogue continuous signal (4-20mA 0.5-4.5V 0-10 V)
